Miller Johnson and Irwin IP Welcomes Two Associates

Miller Johnson and Irwin IP are pleased to welcome two new Associates to our Chicago office: Katherine O’Malley and Faye Vasilopoulos. Katherine and Faye join the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice, having both served as summer associates with Irwin IP in 2024.

Katherine earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2025 and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies, with a concentration in Law and Policy, from Santa Clara University. While at Loyola, she served as Senior Editor of the Journal of Regulatory Compliance, was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and previously served as an Associate Editor of the Annals of Health Law and Life Sciences. She also externed for the Honorable Judge Jorge L. Alonso and the Honorable Judge Young B. Kim in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, gaining valuable insight into federal court proceedings. As an undergraduate, she conducted research on food system resiliency plans and policy implementations to promote community resilience in the Bay Area.

Faye earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2025 and her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a concentration in premedical studies, from Elmhurst University. At UIC Law, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the UIC Law Review and received the Hellenic Bar Association’s annual legal scholarship in 2023. She also conducted neuroscience research at Cedar Crest College, studying the potential use of resveratrol for ischemic stroke prevention.
