Suet Lee is an associate at Irwin IP and serves in the intellectual property litigation group, focusing her practice on patent litigation and trademarks. She has worked on a variety of intellectual property matters, including design patent litigation, utility patent litigation, trademark litigation, and copyright pro bono matters, covering technologies from automotive parts, computer software, and those in the creative arts. Her involvement in cases range from drafting complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, motions to compel, managing discovery and related correspondences, preparing for depositions, and conducting prior art searches.

Prior to joining Irwin IP, Suet obtained her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and her B.S. in Biology and certificate in the Health and Humanities from University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining Irwin IP LLP, Suet worked as a student clinician for the Health Justice Project, a law clerk for a personal injury law firm, and then as a litigation intern for the Cook County Health and Hospitals Systems. There, she facilitated pre-disciplinary employee hearings for their COVID-19 vaccination program. Suet also worked as an extern at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab where she was responsible for compiling compliance requirements of a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services provider pursuant to federal and state regulations, redlining contracts, as well as other labor and employment matters.

During her studies at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Suet was a member of the IP Law Society, and wrote and edited for IP Bytes. Suet was later employed by Irwin IP, LLP, with a focus on patent litigation. In this role, she continues to work on design patent cases and pro bono cases with Lawyers for the Creative Arts on copyright matters.

Prior to law school, Suet obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a Certificate in the Health and Humanities from UW-Madison. She was a former phlebotomist and student researcher at the Thomson Lab, which focused on stem cell researcher.
