Brian O’Gara is a Winter Associate at Irwin IP. Brian is a second-year law student at Notre Dame Law School. Brian is originally from Levittown, New York. He received his B.S. in Biology from Davidson College with a minor in Religious Studies, cum laude.
Since last summer, Brian has worked as a research assistant to Professor Mark P. McKenna. Brian has conducted research in the area of free speech and trademarks, the intersection of design patent and trade dress, as well as edit several amicus briefs filed in various federal circuit courts. Brian also is currently on the executive board of both the IP Law Society and the Hispanic Law Students Association and is a staff editor on the Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy at Notre Dame. Brian anticipates working on design patent and trademark matters at Irwin this Winter.
