Overview

Ariel Katz is an associate at Irwin IP. She joined the law firm in September 2022 after graduating cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Children’s Legal Rights Journal and was a member of the moot court program.

Prior to law school, Ariel obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Claremont McKenna College. Upon graduating, she joined the Teach for America program and taught high school English in Chicago. After teaching for a total of four years, Ariel worked for two years as a fundraiser at the Jewish United Fund before starting law school. During her 1L summer, Ariel worked as a Judicial Extern to the Hon. Marvin Aspen of the Northern District of Illinois.

Ariel is passionate about IP law as she believes strong IP protection enables art, creativity, and technological innovations to flourish.
